Administrative Coordinator - Purchase, NY

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OTR Global is seeking an Administrative Coordinator to join its global team. Individual in this role will support the firm’s efforts on a variety of projects including planning and coordinating in-person meetings between research staff and clients, facilitating virtual and in-person group meetings and events, supporting client engagement efforts, internal communications, PowerPoint presentations, as well as helping coordinate and contribute on other projects and handle office management responsibilities. The Administrative Coordinator will work closely with the management team, and support OTR’s Research Editors and the Sales Team to drive client interactions and manage various deliverables. This role is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment for one of the most differentiated investment research companies in the securities industry.

PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in coordination, administration, or office management; knowledge of the financial industry and investment basics a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, time management and follow-up skills
  • Proactive, highly organized, and energetic individual with strong project management skills. The ideal candidate possesses a high degree of intellectual curiosity and is a quick learner.
  • Effective networking and inter-personal skills; strong candidate should have exceptional listening and communication skills, and is effective at building relationships in person or virtually.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, respond quickly, prioritize tasks to work effectively on multiple projects at one time, and juggle short- and long-term deadlines with conflicting priorities.
  • Strong technology skills, hands-on experience and high proficiency with MS Office suite including Excel, Power Point and Word. 
  • Strong internet research skills, resourcefulness and creative problem-solving are important for this role.
  • Proven ability to work well within teams, self-motivated, showing initiative, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.

Researcher/Reporter - Technology

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

OTR Global's Technology group is looking for a Researcher/ Reporter to join its global team in the Enterprise Technology and Enterprise Software industry sectors. The Researcher's primary responsibility will be conducting in-depth interviews by phone with cybersecurity, enterprise hardware and software industry professionals, and contributing source feedback to research reports. The ideal candidate is creative, curious, and most of all determined to build a dependable list of contacts often viewed as difficult to reach, and maintain those relationships over time. The individual in this role will be reporting on a broad array of technology topics and with time, may have opportunities to take leadership on running projects and contributing new coverage ideas. The Technology Reporter will work closely with the Technology team leaders and other researchers in the team to provide relevant and timely marketplace intelligence for the global investment audience. PROFESSIONAL AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background in the technology sector or software industry, IT consulting, or in reporting and/or research; tech specialist background, and knowledge of the financial industry and investment basics a plus.
  • Understanding of the key trends shaping the cybersecurity, enterprise hardware, or the software industry, and an ability to identify and articulate inflections in industry trends; experience with financial writing a plus.
  • Ability to network in remote setting and develop new sources across various enterprise software topics, and maintain relationships over time; existing high-level network of contacts in the technology industry, such as implementation partners, distributors and resellers a plus.
  • Clear and concise communication skills and exceptional analytical skills, attention to detail, ability to "connect the dots" and clearly articulate research conclusions.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, proactive thinking, ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and work under pressure; schedule flexibility a must.

Part Time Research Associate - New Mexico

Roles and Responsibilities

The job of an OTR Global Research Associate is to gather unbiased information on companies and industries through telephone interviews with a variety of sources in numerous sectors, including Professional Contractor, Industrial Supply, Construction Rental Equipment, Auto Parts, Retail and Restaurants, and record the information cultivated from those source interactions into an online information system. $23 per hour. 1-5 shifts per week, 5-25 hours per week, for 5- 6 hours per shift in our Santa Fe office. No benefits.

Personal and Professional Qualifications

  • Must be computer literate, know Excel well. Be able to utilize and toggle between multiple windows at once and multi task.
  • Prior experience or solid understanding of Professional Contracting, Industrial Supply, Construction Rental Equipment, Auto Parts and Retail and/or Restaurant sectors a plus
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude, self-motivated and confidence
  • Tenacious and resilient and able to handle rejection with cold calls
  • The ability to quickly assimilate information on new subjects
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for fact-finding
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including good listening skills
  • Ability to work well within a team, but will also be a motivated, independent worker
  • Schedule flexibility; must be able to work M-F, 8-5 pm
